Dr. Hagelin Gives Peace Presentation
at the United Nations in Geneva
In February 2006, Dr. Hagelin was invited to address the United Nations in Geneva on “A New Science of Peace: Creating Coherent International Consciousness.” The presentation drew over 100 top-level representatives, including the heads of many influential international NGOs. Dr. Hagelin stressed the urgency of implementing the US Peace Government’s proven new approach to peace, which has been scientifically shown to neutralize the acute ethnic, political and religious tensions that fuel violence, terrorism and social conflict. The conference generated strong support among top UN and NGO leaders for these peace-promoting initiatives and for the creation of a University of World Peace in Geneva. The UN conference was followed by similar high-level conferences in Bern, Zurich, Amsterdam, Berlin, and Austria, which have greatly elevated the profile and prestige of Peace Government programs throughout the European Union.
